KCBS WV State Championship BBQ Competition!
The KCBS certified competition begins with a cooks meeting and meet inspection on Friday night, September 10 th , 2010, followed by judging on the afternoon of September 11 th , 2010.

Add some sizzle and spice to your BBQ cooking skills by trying your hand at our "Backyard" Competition. Win cash prizes and take home Backyard Braggin' Rights for cookin' up the best chicken, ribs and chef's choice!
A local celebrity judging panel and KCBS certified judges will choose the backyard winners. In addition to the overall tastiness of the food, extra "BBQ points" will be awarded based on creativity, glee and enjoyment in two “non KCBS categories”, The Budweiser Party Pig showmanship award and the “Cooks Choice” award where the only rule is that its “gotta be meat!”
PLEASE NOTE: Showmanship and Cook’s Choice and entries and will be judged as such. They will not affect judging points for the “overall” awards.
With the exception of Cook’s Choice all other "Backyard" categories will follow KCBS rules and regulations. For a complete rule list, visit www.kcbs.us. Participants can compete as an individual or team.
The "Backyard" competition will be judged in the afternoon of Sunday, September 12th, 2010 (except Cooks Choice/WV Governor's Cup which will be judged on Saturday afternoon.
Backyard Entry Fee - $75.00 and you supply all needed supplies/meat.
